These Smiths clocks were most usually made for the Ministry of Defence. They were made in Britain in the 1940s/50s.

The slim case is Bakelite and is in great condition with only a little wear and has been hand-polished to a lovely satin glow. I have deoxidised and beeswax polished it, but there are some marks I didn’t want to over-clean then loose this lovely patina. The back box is pine. The dial is an ivory colour and shows some wear throughout. The brass bezel is in nice order with modest signs or wear. The glass is in good order.
