This large hand-painted iron dial comes from a 18th century longcase/grandfather clock. It dates from around 1810 to 1835. Dating source: Painted Clocks 1770-1870 by Brian Loomes. Published 1994.
This large and heavy iron clock dial is in nice condition with the scars from some sort of spillage back in its history. Overall the decorative paintwork is in good order and all the colours are vibrant. The hands are in good condition.
