This hand painted iron dial comes from a 18th century longcase/grandfather clock. It dates from around 1825. Dating source: Painted Clocks 1770-1870 by Brian Loomes. Published 1994.
This iron clock dial has had some alteration work to the rear. As you can see there is only minor wear to the decoration. Overall the decorative paintwork is in good order and all the colours are vibrant. The hands are in good condition.
