This hand painted iron dial comes from an 18th century longcase/grandfather clock. It dates from around 1800 to 1820. Dating source: Painted Clocks 1770-1870 by Brian Loomes. Published 1994.
As you can see there is some minor overall deterioration to the finish, some pitting and some wear. Overall the decorative paintwork is in jolly good order with some crazing. The hands are in good condition.
