This very large hand painted iron dial comes from a 18th century longcase/grandfather clock with an unusual moon phase in the arch. It dates from around 1795 to 18=25. Dating source: Painted Clocks 1770-1870 by Brian Loomes. Published 1994.

As you can see there is some minor overall deterioration to the finish, some pitting and some wear. Some of the black paint has faded, but the motifs are all still vibrant. The moon place disc is in pretty good order and has not been fixed so you can move it manually to suit your requirements. Overall the decorative paintwork is in good order.  The hands are in good condition.
