These square clocks are very hard to get hold of. A really beautiful East German vintage factory clock made in Leipzig in the early 1950s by RFT (Rundfunk- und Fernmelde-Technik). This model is dated, but the date is very faint. I looks like 28th May 1951.

The steel case with the original ochre colour is in pretty good overall condition with some wear and tear. At installation, 2 small cable cutaways have been made on the 3 o’clock side. I have tidied these up, but left them as they are part of the clock’s history. The dial has aged to an off-white colour with some signs of ageing. The early curved profile hands show a little wear. The glass shows just a bit of wear.

37 x  37cm, depth 7cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
