This large hand painted iron dial comes from a 19th century longcase/grandfather clock. It dates from around 1810 to 1830. Dating source: Painted Clocks 1770-1870 by Brian Loomes. Published 1994.
As you can see there is some minor overall deterioration to the finish, some pitting and some wear. There is corrosion at the bottom where it appears to have been standing somewhere for ages. Overall the decorative paintwork is in jolly good order. The hands are in good condition.
