Well, you’re either going to love this or hate it. This is exactly the type I like, but only for the serious industrial collector. A heavy steel cased Smiths factory clock dating from the 1950s.
The robust steel case still has its original bronze lacquer finish, although this is pitted overall. There is a cable cut-away at 12 o’clock, this has been repaired bit is visible. I have retained some signs of its original wear. The dial has overall foxing, wear and heavy-duty corrosion. The brass classic Smiths hands show quite considerable wear. The original glass shows wear and some scratches.
Overall diameter 56cm, depth 10cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
IMPORTANT. This clock is priced without P&P, to be collected from London SE18 5NR or SE13 6HL. If you are unable to collect, no problem, I will pack it well for courier transit.
