A seriously aged commercial clock, possibly for the Post Office made by Gents’ of Leicester. Dating from the 1950s. From a large collection of Post Office and other British clocks I bought recently.

The metal case is in good order. The duck finish has polished up nicely and reveals minimal wear. The dial is very aged. The flaking has been stabilised. Fortunately all the numerals and hand-painted legends are visible. There is just a little wear to the hands. The original glass shows a little wear commensurate with its age.

Overall diameter 35.5cm, depth 7cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
