This fine clock dates from the late 1960s. Unusually, this model is black bakelite, not the mottled brown that most of these have. She was made by GW (GerateWerk) in Leipzig, East Germany.
The case has been cleaned and hand-polished to a lovely rich shine. There is no damage. The dial is aged. There are a few minor marks and the ghosting from where the clock remained static for years stuck at a quarter past 10. The hands show no damage, but do exhibit a hint of wear. The original glass shows very minor wear commensurate with its age.
Overall diameter 44cm, depth 10cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
