This is a nice version of these wall clocks made in Leipzig, East Germany by ELFEMA (Electro-Mechanics Mittweida). It dates from the late 1950s.
The steel case and finish are in good condition with little edge wear. There were cable cut-aways at 12 and 6 o’clock. The dial is in good condition with a few minor marks and has aged to a nice warm ivory colour. You can see some ghosting on the dial where the clock has hung for years at five to two. The logo is good. The hands are undamaged and show some wear. The original glass shows very minor wear commensurate with its age.
Overall dia 37cm, depth 7cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
