One of a pair I bought recently. These clocks made my the small manufacturer, Gillet and Johnson of Croydon are really pretty rare these days.

The case is typical for clocks of this period being solid brass with a copper plating and in their original state often painted brown, for some reason. This model is in very good order with no damage. The case has been hand-finished to reflect the clock’s age and not to look new. The dial shows signs of wear. There is just a little wear to the hands. The original glass shows a little wear commensurate with its age.

Overall diameter 35cm, depth 8cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
