This is a very unusual version of the square cased wall clocks made in Leipzig, East Germany by GW (GerateWerk). I have never had this model before, and all the details suggest to me she was a very early piece. This company started in 1946 and I suspect this to be a 1940s model, preceding the more usual models.
The solid steel case is in nice order without any damage. There are a few signs of ageing and edge-wear. The dial is nice and bright with a only few minor marks here and there and has mellowed to a light ivory colour. The hands show a little wear and pitting. The original glass shows a touch of wear commensurate with its age.
