This fine ELFEMA (Electro-Mechanics Mittweida) commercial clock was made in Leipzig, East Germany in the late 1950s. It is faintly dated on the reverse; 1959. It is unusual to find a green case model made before the early 1960s.

The steel case and finish are in good condition with a little bit of overall pitting. There is just a little edge wear in places. The dial is in really nice condition and has aged to a nice even pale ivory colour. The logo is crisp and undamaged. The early version curved profile hands are undamaged, but show just a little wear. The original glass shows very minor wear commensurate with its age.

Overall dia 37cm, depth 7cm.

Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
