This is a very early, very nice, and very unusual East German factory clock made in Leipzig in the very late 40s or early 50s.
The steel case, which was originally cpopper plated is in good structural order with some mis-shapenedness and some dents, there is remarkably little wear. The dial is in nice condition overall and has aged to a mellow off-white colour. There are a few areas of very minor wear. The hands show a bit of wear but no damage. The original glass shows very minor wear commensurate with its age.
Overall dia 39cm, depth 7cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
