A nice clean example of the mid period clocks made in Leipzig, East Germany by ELFEMA (Electro-Mechanics Mittweida), this clock dates from the mid 1960s.
The steel case with the classic green hammer paint finish is in great condition with modest overall wear and a little fading that can be seen around 11 o’clock. Fortunately, when hung, this is unlikely to be seen. There is no damage. The dial has aged to a lovely warm ivory colour and is in splendid condition with minor crazing and foxing. The hands show just a very small amount of wear.
Overall diameter 37cm, depth 7.5cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
