Well, here’s a rather unusual commercial clock. I expect this to have been made in the 50s by Synchronome, but, as you can see a dealer’s name has been hand-painted where the maker’s logo usually is placed.
The case is spum brass with a robust plating of copper. The case has been cleaned and polished, and as you can see, not with a view to making it look new, but rather to retain as much of the patina as possible. It has not been lacquered. It has seen some action and is slightly mis-shapen. The silvered dial is nice and clean and the hands show a bit of wear.
Overall diameter 34cm, depth 7cm.
Fitted with a high quality battery quartz mechanism that is fully guaranteed for twelve months. Requires one AA battery which is supplied with the clock.
